Embattled Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who is being challenged by both his own party colleagues as well as the rival parties is preparing to launch Bollywood diva Juhi Chawla as BJP candidate in Gujarat assembly polls due by the end of this year. Sources say that Juhi could be fielded against Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee chief Arjun Modhwadia in the elections. Interestingly, Modhwadia has thrown a challenge to the Chief Minister to contest election against him. BJP spokesperson Vijay Rupani said, “Party is contemplating to field Juhi Chawla from Porbandar assembly seat against Modhwadia.” Rupani further claimed that Juhi Chawala and her husband Jai Mehta have already enrolled their names in the voter list of Porbandar city. Jai Mehta is a native of Porbander and his grandfather is remembered for his remarkable works done for the welfare of the local population.
