12,000 temporary teachers to be appointed in Sirsi
For the first time, 12,000 honorary teachers will be appointed on a temporary basis to primary schools to work in the place of vacant posts in Karnataka.
The process of making them permanent would be done next year after consulting with Finance Department, said Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri.
Mr. Kageri told media in Sirsi on Sunday that the selection of 3,400 secondary schoolteachers, and 1,700 PUC teachers would be started soon as the examination meant for it on line was completed. Already, key answers were ready.
